COMMUNITY CLIMATE ACTION PLAN

In collaboration with other local groups, GWCSJ is working on a Climate Action Plan initiative. Together, we plan to engage a broader segment of citizens in raising their "climate action" bar.

 

Using the ground work already in place from our "Community Energy Initiative 2021" we have a road map of how to reduce our collective emissions. But we need to move this visionary document into action.

    Beginning April 22, 2026-Earth Day -local ommunity groups in Guelph are hosting events to draw attention to the planet. Events encourage earth friendly practices and engagement in community clean up. Others provide opportunities for learning about nature and climate change.

    In the film "Mission to Marsh" a German pair explore various kinds of wetlands from Canada's far north to South America. Let's start conversation and educate each other about the serious risk Canada's northern wetlands are facing in the "Ring of Fire" and locally as wetlands are damaged.
