About The Event
Join us as we celebrate the earth and the arts! Learn what you can do to push for bigger change in Guelph and Ontario.
All ages are invited to join this opportunity to appreciate, and pledge to protect, our planet.
Plans include:
- Interesting speakers from both the arts and the activist community.
- Dr. Karen Houle of the Hostage Water Release Project and Art of Soil will be the Master of Ceremonies.
- A Kids Table and a Community Table brimming with ideas for personal actions and a terrific reading list.
- A personal pledge frame attendees can use to write down one climate-conscious action and seal to commiting.
Our goal:
- To create a feeling of community empowerment to take action, have hope, and celebrate our planet.
- To encourage individual and collective actions to help combat climate change
We acknowledge that all of our individual actions are needed, but facing climate change collectively as a society is the key to getting our planet in the shape it needs to be. Systemic change to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is needed from every sector of society.
